If you have the ability to continue paying your US federal student loans during this crisis, the government has set interest rates to zero until September. This means that any payment you make now will go directly to the principal, without accrued interest working against you.
This is not good for student loan servicers, the private companies that administer these loans. In the last week, several of these companies have disabled autopay. You now need to either opt back in to autopay, or remember to pay manually. Bastards.
If you have the resources to keep paying your loans right now - do it!
Take advantage of interest rates being zero to pay down your principal directly.
